This Privacy Policy explains how Quillz, operated by Atelier Crelio inc., collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25.

WHO WE ARE

Quillz is a service operated by Atelier Crelio inc. (NEQ 1182117011), a company incorporated in Quebec, Canada.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect: identification data (name, email); billing data (processed by Stripe); the content and projects you create; usage and analytics data including optional session recordings; and the content you submit to AI features. Refusing required information may prevent account creation; optional analytics are collected only with your consent.

WHY WE COLLECT IT

We use your information only to provide and operate the service, process payments, offer support, improve and secure the service, and meet our legal obligations. We never sell your personal information.

COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND PROFILING

We use cookies and analytics tools (PostHog) to understand how the service is used. Session recording and usage profiling are activated only with your express consent, requested separately at sign up, and you can disable analytics at any time in your account settings.

PROTECTION OF MINORS

The service is intended for users at least 14 years old. A user under 14 may register only with the consent of a parent or guardian. At sign up, you confirm you are 14 or older, or that you have such consent.

THIRD PARTIES

We share your information only with providers necessary to deliver the service, bound by contract to limited purposes: OpenAI (AI text generation, USA), PostHog (analytics, USA), Stripe (payments, USA), and DigitalOcean (hosting, Toronto, Canada). We do not sell your data.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE QUEBEC

Some providers are located outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before any transfer, we perform a Privacy Impact Assessment to ensure adequate protection and enter into appropriate data processing agreements.

DATA RETENTION

We keep your information only as long as necessary: account data for the life of the account plus 12 months; content until you delete it or close your account; billing data for 7 years; and analytics for up to 12 months. Afterwards, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, obtain your data in a structured and commonly used format (portability), request de-indexing or that its dissemination cease, and be informed of any decision based exclusively on automated processing.

HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS

Write to our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

SECURITY

We implement reasonable security measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, logging, and backups. No method is infallible, but we will notify you as required by law in the event of an incident presenting a risk of serious harm.

PRIVACY INCIDENTS

In the event of an incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the CAI promptly, and we maintain a register of incidents as required by law.

CHANGES

We may update this policy. Any material change will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
